Moyler Monthly 2004-2005
As part of the Transition Year journalism class Moyler Monthly was set up at the start of the year by class 4.2. It was set up with the aim of strengthening the link between year groups and staff and also the link between the school and the home. It contains news from the management and also important dates coming up i.e. exam dates or school calendar dates. The plan was that each month we'd send students home with a copy of Moyler Monthly to keep parents up to date on the goings on in the college. Hopefully it will be a useful aid to foster a greater understanding and appreciation of the varied talents that the students embody and a useful and informative tool also. We also aimed to give you up to date sports reports on how the various teams are doing, when they are training and how you can support them in the big games.
Halfway through the year there was a change in Moyler Monthly as the Transition Year class 4.1 grasped the reigns and took responsibility for the publication of the newsletter on a monthly basis. Due to the broken nature of the transition year timetable, which included both work experience and community placement, it meant that we didn't quite hit all our monthly targets. But it was certainly a good start!
