Musical Director Jacqueline Dooley writes: "Grease is a musical phenomenon that has touched the hearts of generations since it first opened on Broadway in the seventies. The story of Sandy and Danny is a musical journey we can all identify with and I have had the pleasure of working with the students of Moyle Park College and Colaiste Bride to create this journey for you.
I would like to thank Marie Therese Kilmartin and Steve McEntaggart for giving me this opportunity and for their support throughout the process. I would also like to thank the staff of Colaiste Bride and Moyle Park College. So many of you gave up your time to help with stage set-up, rehearsals, back stage, costumes, choir practice, ticket sales, art work. The list is long and I can't name everyone but you know who you are and I hope you know your contribution has made what we experienced so special.
I would especially like to thank producers, Amanda Hogan and Eoin Houlihan, as well as choroegrapher, Dee Lumsden, for their hard work, dedication, guidance and unwavering support throughout the last few months. Finally, to the cast. For your energy, belief and trust during the process. I am delighted with you all and I will cherish these memories forever.

Cast member Aaron Flood writes about the auditions:
"The auditions began almost a month an a half ago, on Monday the 29th of September, when we were called up to sing in front of three teachers from Colaiste Bride. As you can guess we were extremely nervous and anxious to get it over and done with. After we sang, we were given a chance to read through a part of the script. The teachers were pleased with the effort shown in the auditions.
The following Wednesday, we went for the call backs in Colaiste Bride. This audition, even though it was tough, everyone really enjoyed it. It was also the first time the boys from Moyle Park met the girls from Colaiste Bride.
The following week the people who got call-backs were brought to Colaiste Bride to sing "Summer Nights". We were all shocked with the talent the girls showed singing. But we were relieved when the teachers said we were better, but I think they were just humouring us. After the singing, we had a dancing audition. The dance we learned was the "Hand-Jive". I thought it was really complicated, but it was also great fun.
On the Friday of that week, the main parts were given out. I was delighted to actually get one. Some people were disappointed that they didn't get a lead part.
Despite a few setbacks - forgetting dance moves, people not showing up - the musical has made great progress in the last month-and-a-half and we are really looking forward to doing it."

Musician John Kearns writes about his involvement in Grease:When I first found out about Grease, I was kind of excited. To actually put on a production with all my friends from both Moyle Park College and Coláiste Bríde. From the start, I was always wondering what part I was going to take. There was one thing I was sure of, that I wasn't singing, dancing or acting. When we were told about the auditions, I was surprised to see the people who had turned up. The people who had turned up, I thought were messers and time wasters.
My first involvements with Grease were the auditions. The whole of the T.Y. class had to in one way or the other. We had to sing, dance, act and state our other talents, e.g. back stage. At the start, my expectations were: to help backstage, to help with the sound and lightning and help with the live orchestra. I also wanted to open a shop during the interval on the night.
Over the course of the school year, a lot of time and effort by myself and the rest of the T.Y's. Our art class had built and created the scene backdrops for the show itself. This took a lot of effort to do and we got a lot of help from Mr Corcoran with this. Myself and Ms Ní Cheallaigh did a lot of work to organise the band in both Moyle Park & Coláiste Bríde. We spent all of January putting the band together and our effort was all shown on the night of the performances. Bro. Nick asked me to help with the stage & Mr Hegarty asked me to help assemble the side particians.
The difficulties that I had to overcome were getting the band to sound great and the shop to run smoothly. They had both taken up a lot of time and worked out well on the night.
The dress rehearsals had shown how much work still had to be done and how little time was left. This brought us all down to earth and we all had a reality check and we got on with the work.
On the 1st night everyone was nervous. We were all thinking about everything that could go wrong but everything was perfect. It just got better each night.
Over the course of the year, we had seen people change by letting fame go to their heads. Overall there were more highs than lows and I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would definitely do it again.
